Job summary

DIRECTIONS Conference & Incentive Management in Sydney is seeking a Senior Event Manager to lead complex programs from planning through delivery, including conferences, incentives, study tours and corporate events across Australia and beyond.

You’ll own budgets, timelines and logistics, manage client and supplier relationships, and ensure standout experiences with calm, solution‑focused leadership. The hybrid role is three days in Marrickville office and two days remote.

Qualifications

• Experience managing corporate conferences or incentive programs.
• Strong client and supplier relationship skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and negotiations.
• Attention to detail and calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Interest in new destinations, venues and industry trends.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of conferences, incentives, study tours and corporate events.
• Client relationships and day-to-day communication.
• Budgets, supplier negotiations and financial management.
• Venues, hotels, DMCs, production partners, speakers and entertainment.
• Registration, delegate communications and event logistics.
• Critical paths, run sheets and onsite operations.
• Creative production, AV, styling and event details.
• Destination, venue and experience research.
• Domestic and international site inspections and program travel.
