MKTG Sports is seeking an experienced Event Director on a fixed-term contract based in Melbourne. You will lead major brand experiences, sponsorship activations and hospitality programs across Australia’s top events, including high-profile rights holders.

This hands-on role requires managing complex environments with senior stakeholders, identifying growth opportunities and guiding teams to deliver on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading events, sponsorship activations, or hospitality programs.
• Capable of managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Confident in contributing to pitches, budgets, and growth opportunities.
• Strong industry connections with suppliers, venues, rights holders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of sponsorship activations and hospitality programs.
• Coordinate internal teams, partners, venues, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution.
• Advise clients and rights holders with strategic guidance throughout the event lifecycle.
• Identify growth opportunities and contribute to new business pitches.
• Lead and mentor team members to foster a high-performance culture.
