Intro Recruitment Solutions in Townsville is seeking Senior Estimators for a government-based construction and maintenance department on a contract basis. You will be part of a team delivering essential services across Queensland, supporting schools, hospitals, housing, and government facilities.

Key responsibilities include leading Estimators, managing medium to high risk projects, and producing high quality estimates and tender documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license.
• Strong experience in Estimating.
• Strong experience managing a team.

Responsabilités

• Leading and assisting a team of Estimators and support staff to achieve successful project delivery outcomes.
• Managing the delivery of estimating programs and projects, especially medium to high risk or complex.
• Producing high quality estimates and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring compliance with policies and tendering methods.
• Undertaking research and development in project planning, budgeting, estimating, programming, delivery processes, and procurement practices.
• Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment and ensuring compliance with HR practices and WHS.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Leading and assisting a team of Estimators and support staff to achieve successful project delivery outcomes.
• Managing the delivery of estimating programs and projects particularly those deemed medium to high risk, significant or complex in nature.
• Producing high quality estimates and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring compliance with the State Purchasing
• Policy, Minor Works, local instructions and tendering and contract methods, and client requirements.
• Undertaking research and development in project planning, budgeting, estimating, programming, delivery processes, and procurement practices.
• Reporting on relevant estimating projects and/or programs providing information on volume, requests, clients, locations, acceptance rates, costs, schedule of rates, margins, and productivity.
• Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
• Enhancing client relationships through effective communication, sound negotiation, and the provision of timely, professional, competitive estimates.
• Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.

The Client:

Our client is the Queensland Government’s building and asset services team, operating under the Department of Energy and Public Works. Delivering maintenance, construction, and project management services for public infrastructure across the state.

To be successful you will have the following:

• Valid driving license
• Strong experience in Estimating
