Peter Jacob Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to lead front-end delivery on diverse, high-profile construction projects in Newcastle NSW. You will work with senior leadership, delivery teams and subcontractors to craft competitive and commercially sound tenders.

The role requires pricing experience on medium to large-scale projects, strong commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to winning quality work.

• Experience as Estimator or Senior Estimator in commercial construction.
• Proven pricing experience on medium to large-scale building projects.
• Proven track record of end-to-end tender submissions for $25M+ projects.

Responsabilidades

• Review tender documentation and develop bid strategies.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Develop and issue subcontractor tender packages.
• Assess subcontractor and supplier pricing for competitive bids.
• Refine pricing and methodology with internal stakeholders.
• Support bid presentations, clarifications, negotiations and handover.
• Prepare feasibility estimates and early budget pricing when required.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within commercial construction
• Proven experience pricing medium to large-scale building projects
• Proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end tender submissions for construction projects valued at $25M+
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance competitiveness with project risk
• A methodical and detail-focused approach to tendering
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders
• The ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines
• A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in winning quality work
