Job summary

Fusion People is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead tendering for civil, landscaping and public domain projects in Sydney. You will manage the full estimating process across streetscape upgrades, council works and large civil packages.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will review drawings, prepare cost estimates, price subcontractors and develop tender programs while building relationships with councils, consultants and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating experience in civil construction, landscaping or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of civil works including earthworks, drainage, utilities, roadworks and concrete structures.
• Experience pricing council, government or public domain projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong commercial acumen and cost-planning capability.
• Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach.
• Relevant Construction, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Conducting accurate take-offs and quantity measurement.
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identifying project risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
• Pricing civil infrastructure works including earthworks, utilities, drainage, roads, pavements and concrete structures.
• Pricing landscape and public domain scopes including hardscape, softscape, streetscapes and urban infrastructure.
• Developing tender programs, methodologies and construction strategies.
• Building strong relationships with councils, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Supporting successful project handovers to delivery teams.
