Job summary

PeopleWise Consulting is partnering with a private South Australian builder to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their Adelaide team. The role focuses on delivering competitive estimates for commercial projects valued between $5M and $15M, with a collaborative management group and strong operational support.

The successful candidate will bring at least five years in estimating within building and construction, with experience in commercial projects and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Five+ years' experience in estimating within building and construction
• Experience estimating commercial construction projects, ideally $5M-$15M
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Strong commercial judgment and analytical skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial building projects valued between $5M and $15M
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Prepare detailed cost plans, BOQs and tender submissions
• Source, assess and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Managers and Directors
• Manage tender deadlines with accuracy and competitiveness
• Support project handovers and ongoing delivery
