Job summary

Amida Group is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead tender submissions and cost analysis for major projects. You will work with internal teams to ensure competitive pricing and timely submissions across commercial, education, data centres and other sectors.

The role involves developing pricing strategies, managing multiple tenders and guiding junior staff through the bid process.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, QS or Engineering.
• Proven tender submissions experience across construction sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage tender submissions across varied sectors.

A market leading head contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their growing business.

Their projects range across commercial, education, data centres, age care, apartment, government etc. nature from $50m to $200m+ experience with similar projects in these sectors or similar will be ideal.

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and managing tender submissions, analysing project costs and developing competitive pricing strategies. You will work closely with internal teams and key stakeholders to ensure tenders are commercially sound, accurate and submitted within required timeframes.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

• Preparing and managing tender submissions across a variety of construction sectors
• Reviewing project documentation, specifications and construction methodologies
• Assessing procurement models and relevant contract forms
• Managing multiple tenders and coordinating with key stakeholders throughout the bidding process
• Conducting detailed cost analysis and ensuring accuracy of estimates
• Applying strong commercial judgement to identify risks and opportunities
• Negotiating and maintaining relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members throughout the tendering process

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience delivering successful tender submissions across a variety of construction sectors
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction methodologies, procurement models and contract forms
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional commercial acumen, analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
• Collaborative leadership style, with experience mentoring and supporting junior team members
