Job summary

Hindmarsh is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead cost planning, tender submissions and bid strategy across multiple sectors in Australia. You will work with senior leadership, project teams and stakeholders to deliver accurate bids and value-driven commercial outcomes from inception through tender submission.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering successful tender submissions across construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Australian construction methodologies, procurement models and contract forms.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional commercial acumen, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Collaborative leadership with mentoring of junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Cost plans a diverse range of internal and external projects from concept to tender phase.
• Develop competitive, accurate bids for tender submissions.
• Drive budget outcomes during ECI phases with project stakeholders.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities for projects as required.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Lead external quantity surveyors and bid support personnel to meet bid deliverables.
• Provide training and support for Estimating team cadets and junior members.
• Drive value management and innovation across project stages.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within estimating and the business.

Key Responsibilities
