Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Approvals Advisor to join our WA Environment Business in Perth. The role focuses on environmental impact assessments, approvals, and managing regulatory relationships across Energy, Transport, Mining and Defence projects.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contribute to proposals, and mentor junior staff while supporting relocation to Perth. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental impact assessment, approvals, or related planning work.
• Knowledge of WA/state and Commonwealth environmental assessment processes.
• Experience authoring clear, structured environmental reports and approval documents.
• Experience in consulting, government, or similar environments.
• Excellent written and oral communication with clients and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate environmental impact assessments and approval documents.
• Identify environmental risks with multidisciplinary teams and integrate considerations into planning.
• Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders for timely project outcomes.
• Coordinate activities, resources, programmes and budgets appropriate to experience level.
• Contribute to proposals and client relationships; support growth of the practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Perth and broader Australia and New Zealand practice.
• At senior levels, provide technical review, project leadership and mentoring.
