Job summary

AECOM’s WA Environment team is seeking an environmental professional to join the Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) group in Perth, with a pathway to Senior/Principal level. The role focuses on environmental approvals, impact assessments, and managing approvals across energy, transport and mining projects.

Relocation to Perth is available, with a hybrid work model. We welcome candidates across Professional, Senior or Principal levels, tailoring responsibilities to experience and career goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with environmental impact assessments and approvals processes.
• Ability to prepare clear, structured environmental reports and approvals.
• Experience in consulting, government, or related environments.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Tertiary qualification in environmental science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate environmental impact assessments and approval documents.
• Identify environmental risks with multidisciplinary teams for project planning.
• Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders for timely outcomes.
• Coordinate activities, budgets and deliverables per project scope.
• Contribute to proposals and client relationships within WA practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Perth and ANZ environmental practice.
• Senior level: provide technical review, leadership and mentoring.
