Job summary

BLACKROC is partnering with a large Australian Government agency to recruit an EL1 Data Modeller in a 12-month initial contract with potential extension. The role offers hybrid work arrangements across Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

You will lead enterprise data modelling across multiple projects, turning complex business needs into governed, reusable semantic models for a single trusted source of numbers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise data modelling in large, complex environments with governance.
• Ability to translate business requirements into logical and physical models.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience: design, SQL, optimization, validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and governance of enterprise semantic models, datasets, KPIs and business metrics.
• Run requirements sessions with stakeholders and data architects and translate results into data models.
• Design enterprise-grade dimensional models using star schema with correct grain.
