Job summary

CareCone Group in Melbourne seeks an experienced Data Modeller/Architect to design enterprise data models on Snowflake and translate business needs into scalable data structures for analytics and reporting.

You will run data-modelling workshops, define standards, and collaborate with ETL/ELT teams to ensure governance, data quality, and consistency across source systems such as SAP and Oracle.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise data modelling, including conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional modelling.
• Hands-on knowledge of Snowflake and advanced SQL.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration, source-to-target mapping, and data transformation patterns.
• Knowledge of the Retail domain and key processes such as Sales, POS, Inventory, Procurement, Pricing and Promotions is desirable.
• Experience with complex enterprise source systems; SAP (70%) expert and/or Oracle (30%) basic to intermediate desirable.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, and enterprise data standards.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to bridge business requirements, source-system data, and target data architecture.
• Identity & authentication design and delivery; PowerShell scripting & automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of data models for enterprise solutions on Snowflake.
• Translate requirements into scalable models to support reporting and analytics.
• Conduct modelling workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Define dimensional and enterprise modelling standards including keys, hierarchies, and conformed entities.
• Collaborate with data engineering to implement models via ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Ensure alignment with data governance, quality, metadata, and standards.
• Review source data structures and resolve gaps across SAP, Oracle, and other systems.
• Communicate modelling approaches and decisions to stakeholders.
