Job summary

Leidos Australia seeks a Chief Architect to act as the senior technical authority for a Federal Government account, safeguarding architectural integrity and driving technology roadmaps.

You will lead across operations, engineering, projects, innovation and research, working with customers, vendors and stakeholders to deliver sustainable, secure, future-focused technologies for enterprise-scale environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent enterprise-scale architecture experience (5,000+ users).
• Proven Architecture Framework certifications such as TOGAF or DODAF.
• Ability to communicate with senior leaders and customer representatives.
• Strong expertise across large-scale infra and platform tech (OpenShift, Ansible, Terraform, VMware).
• Experience with security frameworks (ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight, NIST).

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership and governance, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, customer policies and strategic objectives.
• Lead architecture design, reviews and assurance activities across projects, proposals, ROMs, BOEs and technology investment decisions.
• Identify technology risks, technical debt and end-of-life concerns, and collaborate with operational teams to develop remediation strategies.
• Engage with customer stakeholders on future capabilities, strategic roadmaps and emerging technology opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, engineering and operations teams on complex challenges and BD opportunities.
