Job summary

Cleared is seeking an experienced Enterprise Solution Architect in Canberra, ACT to shape the future technology landscape for a Federal Government client. Working within a centralised Enterprise Architecture team, you will provide strategic guidance across portfolios, simplify complexity, and ensure investments align with long-term business and technology objectives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in system/platform technical design, software development, or system/platform administration.
• Experience delivering solution architecture outcomes within complex enterprise environments.
• Expertise in systems design, architecture governance, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Proven ability to analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and workstreams within resource-constrained environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate architectural risks and dependencies.
• Resilience, initiative, and the ability to work autonomously to achieve outcomes.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring, learning, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture outcomes across multiple strategic technology initiatives.
• Develop architecture strategies that align with organisational objectives and future-state technology direction.
• Drive technology rationalisation by reducing technical debt, eliminating redundancy, and simplifying enterprise architecture.
• Provide architecture governance and technical leadership across technology work programs.
• Define and maintain reference architectures, standards, design patterns, and technology blueprints.
• Identify and manage architectural risks, dependencies, and integration challenges.
• Support the transition toward modern cloud-based and scalable technology environments.
• Analyse business and technical requirements to inform architecture decisions and investment priorities.
• Promote innovation through the assessment of emerging technologies and intelligent automation opportunities.
• Foster collaboration across technical teams and external partners to enable cohesive technology delivery.
• Support enterprise resilience and operational maturity through strategic technology design and governance.
