Job summary

ShiftCare is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to guide the main feature development team in Australia. You will ensure scalable, reliable software, mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence while partnering with Product to shape roadmaps and delivery.

You will lead by example, oversee team health, and coordinate delivery across the entire development lifecycle in a fast-growing, startup-turned-scale-up environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience designing and shipping scalable, reliable systems at large scale with Ruby on Rails, React/Vue, AWS.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the main engineering team to develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• Promote good engineering practices within the team and beyond.
• Identify and implement improvements to products and processes to support growth.
• Monitor team health and drive high performance and delivery.
• Coordinate feature delivery from roadmap through development lifecycle.
• Lead by example in terms of excellence, priorities, and risk assessment.
