Job summary

Sitemate’s Global Platform team in Melbourne is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering side of a product team, ensuring delivery from planning to shipping with high quality.

You’ll partner with the Product Design Manager and Tech Lead, plan sprint capacity, unblock engineers, and contribute code yourself to stay close to the craft. This leadership role combines people management with hands-on development.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or leading a team of engineers.
• Strong delivery management across capacity planning and tracking.
• Hands-on coding ability with modern JS/TS frameworks.
• Willingness to handle underperformance directly and constructively.

Responsibilities

• Plan sprint capacity and milestones with estimates.
• Track delivery progress and surface risks early.
• Act as primary escalation path to remove blockers.
• Deliver code and maintain code quality.
• Collaborate with PDM and Tech Lead to align priorities.
