Job summary

Liontown Limited is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Production Services team at Kathleen Valley in Western Australia. You will lead Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) activities as RTFE and provide engineering support on paste plant, RO treatment and ROM project work on an operating site.

The role requires five+ years in geotechnical or civil engineering and experience as RTFE or in a similar dam safety capacity.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' post-graduate experience in geotechnical or civil engineering, including tailings storage facility design, construction or operation.
• Experience acting as, or supporting, an RTFE, or in a comparable tailings or dam safety role.
• Knowledge of GISTM and ANCOLD guidelines.
• Experience in design review, construction verification or project delivery, including managing consultants and contractors.
• Bachelor degree in geotechnical or civil engineering, or related discipline with demonstrated geotechnical specialization.
• CPEng or eligibility to obtain chartered status within 12 months (essential for RTFE).
• Current Australian driver's licence and WA mine site induction/ticketing/medical requirements.
• Experience with WA tailings regulation, paste backfill, RO water treatment or life-of-mine tailings studies, ideally in a hardrock FIFO operation.

Responsibilities

• Tailings leadership: RTFE responsibilities including design basis, interface with Engineer of Record.
• Manage surveillance and instrumentation programme and tailings deposition plan.
• Progress GISTM conformance and maintain Tailings Management System documentation.
• Engineering and project support: design review, technical evaluation, construction verification through to commissioning and handover.
• Contribute to scopes of work for consultants and contractors; input to cost estimates, schedules and tender evaluations.
• Provide geotechnical input to paste plant projects and analyze RO treatment plant performance for improvements.
