Job summary

Harmony Australasia is looking for a highly experienced Tailings Engineer for the Hidden Valley Mine in Papua New Guinea. This FIFO role requires a qualified professional with over 10 years in tailings/dam engineering and strong leadership skills.

Candidates must have a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree, be a Chartered Professional Engineer, and possess in-depth knowledge of tailings management standards. Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in tailings/dam engineering covering design and/or operations.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of GISTM, ANCOLD Tailings and Dam Safety Guidelines.
• Proven capability leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide lifecycle stewardship across concept, design, construction, and operation.
• Be the delegated authority to set operating limits and suspend operations if necessary.
• Work independently from the Engineer of Record, ensuring owner oversight.
