Job summary

Urban Utilities seeks a Senior Engineer Government Projects to lead engineering leadership and project management across the lifecycle of major infrastructure initiatives. You will partner with government agencies, consultants and contractors to protect water and wastewater assets and ensure compliant, high-quality delivery.

Reporting to the Manager Government and Developer Projects, you will navigate complex technical and stakeholder considerations while contributing to standards, innovation,

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer and/or RPEQ registration, or eligibility.
• Experience across infrastructure, utilities, transport or major capital projects.
• Proven ability to review designs and assess project impacts.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Experience managing risk and providing engineering advice on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and assessments for major government infrastructure projects.
• Lead impact assessments and design reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
• Build relationships with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Manage project risks and develop solutions to protect assets and service outcomes.
• Deliver technical recommendations to support business decisions.
• Support project assurance, construction compliance and asset handover activities.
• Contribute to engineering standards, innovation and continuous improvement.
