Job summary

Enemix is partnering with a top-tier EPC firm to recruit a Senior Engineer for Building Services in Adelaide. You will lead and shape building services design across fire, security, HVAC, and electrical systems, signing off outputs as the compliance authority.

You will collaborate with designers, trades, and technical teams, ensuring safe, high-quality solutions across Defence, mining, data centres, and substations. The role is based on-site in Adelaide at office and manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Experience in building services engineering is essential.
• Strong knowledge of NCC and regulatory standards preferred.

Enemix are partnering with a top-tier EPC company specializing in Renewable Energy and Transmission & Distribution (T&D) to identify a skilled Senior Engineer for Building Services. This is a key leadership opportunity within a growing organization, focusing on high-quality engineering solutions for fire systems, security, HVAC, and light & power.

The role is Adelaide-based, requiring hands-on collaboration at the office and manufacturing facilities. It involves close interaction with designers, trades, and technical teams to deliver outstanding solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and Direct Projects: Provide visionary engineering leadership across building services projects.
• Detailed Design Expertise: Design and oversee implementations across key systems like fire systems, security, HVAC, and light & power.
• Compliance Authority: Ensure all designs adhere to the National Construction Code (NCC) and other relevant standards, while also signing off engineering outputs as the compliance authority.
• Team Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate with experienced designers and technical professionals, fostering talent and sharing knowledge.
• Client Interaction: Build sound working relationships with clients in industries such as Defence, mining, T&D substations, and data centres to tailor effective solutions.
• Seamless Execution: Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient and quality-driven implementation of designs.
• Uphold Safety & Quality Standards: Maintain top-tier engineering accuracy and safety protocols.

What We're Looking For

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields).
• Expertise: Proven experience in building services engineering, with deep proficiency in at least two areas: fire systems, security, HVAC, light & power.
• Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of the NCC and other regulatory standards.
• Leadership Acumen: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and communicate effectively within diverse teams.
• Professional Credentials: Professional Engineering registration or equivalent qualification (preferred).
• Sector Experience: Exposure to projects in the Defence, substations, mining (control rooms), and/or data centre sectors (highly regarded).
