Job summary

Westpac Group seeks a Senior Engineer for AV & VC Inbuilding Technology to design, document, deliver, commission and hand over AV/VC solutions across corporate environments. You will translate business requirements into compliant, cost-effective, and supportable systems while coordinating testing and project delivery.

The role provides advanced technical leadership across AV/VC platforms, including Crestron, DSP and Teams Rooms, with involvement in validation, vendor management and on-call

Qualifications

• Five+ years in AV systems engineering and design.
• Strong knowledge of AV/VC/unified communications and enterprise networking.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for AV schematics and drawings.
• Experience producing technical specs, BOMs and commissioning docs.
• Experience commissioning enterprise AV systems and resolving defects.
• Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting capability.
• Experience with Crestron programming and DSP configuration.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills.
• Ability to balance technical quality, cost, supportability, security and UX.
• Availability for rotating on-call and after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical documentation, vendor coordination, testing and project delivery.
• Provide Level 3 support across AV/VC platforms including Teams Rooms, Cisco, Crestron and DSP tech.

What’s the role?

The Senior AV Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end design, documentation, delivery, commissioning and operational handover of Audio Visual (AV), Video Conferencing (VC) and collaboration solutions across corporate and commercial environments. The role works closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into compliant, cost-effective and supportable solutions, while overseeing technical documentation, vendor coordination, testing and project delivery. The role also provides advanced technical leadership and Level 3 support across AV/VC platforms, including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco, Crestron and DSP technologies. Preferred experience includes control system programming, audio engineering, automation and systems integration.

What do I need?

Essential

• At least five years of experience in AV systems engineering and design.
• Strong knowledge of AV, VC, unified communications, enterprise networking and control system architectures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for AV schematics, elevations and technical drawings.
• Experience producing technical specifications, BOMs, project estimates and commissioning documentation.
• Experience commissioning enterprise AV systems and managing defects through to resolution.
• Advanced diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• Experience with Crestron programming and DSP configuration.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, written communication and vendor management skills.
• Ability to balance technical quality, cost, supportability, security and user experience.
• Availability to participate in a rotating on-call roster and provide after-hours support in accordance with business and operational requirements.

Desirable

• CTS-D, CTS-I or equivalent AVIXA certification.
• Crestron Programmer certification.
• Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Cisco or Microsoft Teams Rooms certifications.
• Knowledge of AV-over-IP, multicast networking, VLANs, Power over Ethernet and enterprise network environments.
• Experience in large corporate, banking, government or campus environments.
• AI and Automation of Routine Tasks
• Basic Understanding of M365, InTune Suite
