Job summary

Westpac Group in Australia seeks a senior AI Services professional to own complex workstreams from design to production, delivering AI-powered full-stack solutions across software, data, AI, integration and operations. You will mentor engineers and help establish reliable delivery patterns in a hybrid Sydney/Melbourne environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn solution direction into tested, production-ready products while ensuring secure, scalable and governable

• Advanced design capability across APIs, events, data flows and recovery.
• Deep AI service engineering including ML, LLMs, agents and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Own a complex workstream or major feature set from detailed design through release, operation and production support.
• Build AI-powered full-stack solutions across software, data, AI, integration and user experience.
• Create reliable contracts across data, services, AI components, user journeys and enterprise systems.
• Engineer safe model and agent behaviour through access controls, evaluation, monitoring and fallback.
• Own versioning, compatibility, deployment, rollback, recovery, diagnostics and incident support.
• Review designs and code, mentor engineers and identify material risks early.

• Build AI-powered full-stack solutions across software, data, AI, integration and user experience.
• Create reliable contracts across data, services, AI components, user journeys and enterprise systems.
• Engineer safe model and agent behaviour through access controls, approved tools, evaluation, monitoring and fallback.
• Own versioning, compatibility, deployment, rollback, recovery, diagnostics and incident support.
• Review designs and code, mentor engineers and identify material technical, delivery, data, model and operational risks early.
