Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Senior Consultant to build a specialist capability in physical energy markets, grid connections and revenue strategies within the NEM framework. You will advise on connections, market operations and behind-the-meter solutions for renewables, storage and electrification projects.

Your client base ranges from developers and battery owners to large energy users, data centres and industrial facilities seeking electrification and flexible demand

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with strong technical aptitude.
• Approximately 3 to 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in network connection, market operations, scheduling or trading, asset operation or performance.
• Experience with network service providers, AEMO, market bodies, or renewables developers.
• Familiarity with the NEM, including dispatch, constraints, loss factors and ancillary services.
• Experience with behind-the-meter solar, battery storage, electrification or microgrid projects is an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project workstreams and deliver complex client engagements.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets and quality.
• Build trusted client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations and recommendations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across energy markets, decarbonisation and advisory services.
• Support proposal preparation and new service offerings.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to technical capability development.
• Collaborate across ERM's Energy Markets, M&A and Decarbonisation teams.
