Job summary

ERM seeks a Senior Consultant to build a specialist capability in physical energy markets and grid connections. You will advise on connection pathways, market operations, and revenue management for renewable generation, storage and electrification projects.

The role spans ERM's Energy Markets, M&A and Decarbonisation practices. Key responsibilities include leading workstreams, defining strategy, managing client relationships and delivering high-quality technical reports in a fast-paced advisory

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering or related discipline.
• Approximately 3–4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in network connection and planning, market operations, scheduling or trading, asset operation or performance, energy market analysis or technical advisory.

Responsibilities

• Lead project workstreams and deliver complex engagements across energy markets, decarbonisation and M&A.
• Advise on connection pathways, network constraints, curtailment risk and revenue implications for generation, storage and flexible loads.
• Work with market modelling and strategy specialists to quantify commercial implications of constraints and system strength issues.
• Develop technical reports, client recommendations and proposals; mentor junior consultants.
