Job summary

Gilbert + Tobin is seeking an Employment lawyer to join our Sydney or Melbourne office. You will advise on a broad range of matters, including employment litigation, workplace investigations, and employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

You will bring 3+ years PQE in employment or workplace law, with the ability to write clear advice, strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to build lasting client relationships. A collaborative, independent work style is essential.

Qualifications

• Three or more years’ post-qualification experience in employment or workplace law (advisory and litigation).
• Ability to write clear and effective advice.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-reasoned decisions.
• Ability to build effective client relationships.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Employment litigation across the Fair Work Commission, tribunals and courts.
• Workplace investigations and whistleblower matters.
• Employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
• Employment contracts, policies and industrial relations matters.
• Workplace change, performance management and termination matters.
• Workplace health and safety investigations and prosecutions.
