Job summary

Gilbert + Tobin is seeking a mid-level litigator to join its Melbourne Disputes and Investigations team. You will work directly with senior partners on complex commercial disputes, class actions and regulatory matters, taking ownership of key aspects of cases from early stages through hearings.

You will develop depth as a litigator, collaborating with clients and counsel, and gaining exposure to high-profile matters while advancing your career within a supportive, elite firm environment.

Qualifications

• Approx. 3–5 years’ post admission experience in commercial disputes.
• Proven court experience, including pleadings and hearings.
• Strong analytical, legal reasoning and drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of significant aspects of matters with partners.
• Contribute to litigation strategy across disputes and regulatory matters.
• Prepare pleadings, evidence, submissions and key documents.
• Interface with clients, counsel and junior lawyers to manage workstreams.
