Job summary

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action seeks a driven leader to guide statewide preparedness, readiness and response across Forest Fire Management Victoria. You will oversee statewide programs, capability reviews and improvement projects to strengthen emergency management capability.

This ongoing, hybrid role within Victoria focuses on advising senior leaders, leading strategic initiatives and turning lessons learned into action to bolster readiness for future challenges.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated high level understanding and experience in emergency management, with strong knowledge of Victoria's preparedness and response arrangements.
• Experience leading programs and projects to manage capability.
• Current accreditation to fulfil a senior EM role or willingness to work towards such accreditation.
• Tertiary qualification in emergency management, public policy or related field would be advantageous.
