Job summary

ProFound People Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer in Melbourne to drive hardware development for next generation controller technology. The role covers full lifecycle from concept to production, with hands-on prototyping, testing, debugging, and compliance.

You will design analogue and digital circuits, develop schematics and PCB layouts, and work across firmware, software, and production teams to ensure reliable, manufacturable electronics products.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related discipline.
• Strong commercial experience in electronics hardware design and product development.
• Experience designing analogue and digital circuits for embedded control products.
• Experience with microcontroller-based hardware design.
• Strong PCB design experience, ideally using Altium Designer.
• Experience taking electronic products from schematic through to testing and production.

Responsibilities

• Design analogue and digital circuits for embedded control products.
• Develop schematics and PCB designs using Altium Designer.
• Select and evaluate components based on performance, availability, cost, and lifecycle.
• Develop MCU-based embedded hardware and interfaces.
• Manage PCB layout and design reviews for manufacturability.
