Job summary

So Code Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to own the full product lifecycle from prototype through to production. The role combines analogue and digital design with hands-on PCB work and lab testing, and offers hybrid working with 3 days on-site.

Senior Electronics Engineer

Cambridge |Hybrid (3 days on-site)

Do you enjoy getting into the detail of analogue and digital circuit design, and taking a product from first prototype through to production?

Do you want your electronics work to help protect national borders and critical assets around the world?

We're working with an established UK technology business developing advanced electronic sensor and radar systems for the defence and security sector, as they look to appoint an Electronics Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

You'll take ownership of the full product lifecycle - from prototyping and circuit design through to simulation, testing, debugging and design verification, with support into production. Initially you'll be focused on new product development and the advanced test equipment needed to validate it, with the opportunity to get involved in updates to existing products too. The role is mainly analogue and digital design, with occasional exposure to microwave RF systems, and you'll work closely with mechanical, firmware and manufacturing engineers as designs move through to production.

What You’ll Bring:

• ~5years' industry experience in electronic design, gained in a relevant engineering environment
• Strong analogue and digital design expertise, with the ability to work confidently across both
• Hands-on experience using PCB design tools, along with common lab equipment for testing and debugging
• Familiarity with embedded systems and standard interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART and CANbus
• A solid understanding of signal integrity and how it affects high-speed circuit design
• Awareness of EMC requirements and experience supporting products through approvals testing
• Comfortable taking a design from initial concept through to a fully verified, production-ready product
