Job summary

Equans ANZ is seeking a Senior Electrician / Multi Service Technician to deliver preventative maintenance, fault finding and critical electrical services across diverse client sites in Sydney, NSW and ACT.

You will work with a national team, enjoy autonomy, and handle technically challenging equipment while focusing on safety, quality and customer excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-trade experience in service, maintenance or critical environments.
• Proven fault-finding and diagnostic expertise.
• Experience mentoring apprentices or junior electricians.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and preventative maintenance across commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure sites.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults safely.
• Inspections, testing and compliance activities.
• Complete repairs and minor installations to a high standard.
• Travel throughout NSW and ACT, occasional overnight projects.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Electrician / Multi Service Technician, you'll become a trusted technical expert delivering preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and critical electrical services across a diverse customer portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing

Electrical Maintenance & Fault Finding

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance across commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure sites.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Conduct inspections, testing and compliance activities.
• Complete repairs and minor installations to the highest standard.

Critical Power Systems

Work on and support maintenance of:

• UPS Systems
• Static Transfer Switches (STS)
• Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
• Backup Generators
• Electrical Distribution Systems
• Main Switchboards

Technical Services

• Support electrical shutdowns and planned maintenance activities.
• Coordinate specialist contractors and OEM providers.
• Assist with switching, isolations and outage planning.
• Conduct inspections of associated building services equipment including pumps, VSDs and related assets.
• Travel & Variety

Unlike many electrical roles, this position offers genuine diversity and exposure to unique sites and projects.

You will:

• Travel throughout NSW and the ACT.
• Attend occasional overnight maintenance projects.
• Support specialised interstate shutdowns.
• Work across multiple industries and technologies.
• Gain experience in critical facilities not typically accessible to most electricians.
