Job summary

Equans is seeking an experienced Electrician – Electrical & Communications to perform installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding across commercial building sites in Perth and surrounding areas.

You will work with technicians, project managers and customers to deliver projects meeting safety and quality standards, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current WA A Grade Electrical Licence is required.
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology is required.
• White Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test and commission electrical and communications systems.
• Deliver commercial electrical and data cabling projects safely and efficiently.
• Perform service, maintenance and fault-finding activities.
• Ensure all work complies with regulations, standards and procedures.
• Work with project teams to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Complete reports, timesheets and service documentation.

About The Role

As an Electrician – Electrical & Communications, you will perform installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding activities across commercial building sites and facilities throughout Perth and surrounding areas.

You will work closely with Technicians, Project Managers and customers to successfully deliver projects that meet safety, quality and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, test and commission electrical and communications systems
• Deliver commercial electrical and data cabling projects safely and efficiently
• Perform service, maintenance and fault-finding activities
• Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, standards and company procedures
• Work collaboratively with project teams to achieve project outcomes and deadlines
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Accurately complete reports, timesheets and service documentation
• Participate in rostered call-out requirements
• Attend toolbox talks, safety meetings and training sessions
• Conduct workplace inspections and proactively identify hazards
• Maintain a high standard of presentation for yourself, your work and your company vehicle
• Assist in strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities
• Comply with all safety, quality and operational requirements

Essential Requirements

• Current WA A Grade Electrical Licence
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology
• Current Driver's Licence
• White Card
• Proven experience in commercial construction, service or maintenance environments
• Experience working within electrical and data communications industries
• Strong troubleshooting, fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service
• Ability to successfully pass a National Police Check
• NVS1 Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
