Job summary

SunPeople is seeking an experienced SAA accredited electrician to head up our install division. You’ll run the installation team, own scheduling and become the senior technical authority in the business.

This hands-on leadership role covers complex installs, commissioning, audits and troubleshooting, with leadership-focused responsibilities the rest of the time. We offer top-tier pay and a $3,000 sign-on bonus, plus a company vehicle, phone and laptop.

Qualifications

• 5+ years installing solar and batteries across multiple inverter/battery platforms.
• Proven experience leading an installation team or crew manager.
• Strong technical depth in complex commercial and larger solar/battery systems.

Responsibilities

• Review designs and sign off on non-standard installations.

SunPeople is a well established solar and battery business with the resources and know-how to back its people. We need an experienced SAA accredited electrician and proven leader to head up our install side.

The role

You’ll run our installation division and be the senior technical authority in the business.

You’ll lead and develop our installers, own scheduling and job allocation with our operations team, and take on the complex, higher-end work escalated to you. You make the calls on installs, backed by a strong technical team and experienced peers.

The role is hands-on where it matters (complex installs, commissioning, audits and troubleshooting) and leadership-focused the rest of the time.

Responsibilities

About you

• 5+ years installing solar and batteries, with experience across multiple inverter and battery platforms (e.g. Sigenergy, Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, Sungrow)
• Proven experience leading an installation team, ideally as an installation or crew manager
• Strong technical depth in complex, commercial and larger systems
• Clear communicator with the office, customers and the crew
• Quality-focused, reliable and self-managing

Licences

• SAA Accreditation, NSW Electrical Licence, White Card, manual driver’s licence, working at heights (all required)
• Asbestos awareness and EWP (desirable)
