Job summary

SunPeople is seeking an experienced SAA accredited electrician to head up our install division. You’ll run the installation team, own scheduling and become the senior technical authority in the business.

This hands-on leadership role covers complex installs, commissioning, audits and troubleshooting, with leadership-focused responsibilities the rest of the time. We offer top-tier pay and a $3,000 sign-on bonus, plus a company vehicle, phone and laptop.

Qualifications

5+ years installing solar and batteries across multiple inverter/battery platforms.
Proven experience leading an installation team or crew manager.
Strong technical depth in complex commercial and larger solar/battery systems.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and hold accountable installation teams and team leaders.
Own install throughput: scheduling, crew allocation and resource planning with operations.
Be the technical escalation point for complex solar, battery and commercial systems.
Review designs and sign off on non-standard installations.
Carry out high-value inspections and quality audits, and reduce rework.
Maintain compliance with electrical, solar and battery standards.
Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and efficiency.
