Qualifications

• 10 years post trade experience.
• Strong understanding of Work Health Safety (WHS) Act, and EHS policies & procedures.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure, electronic equipment and associated terminology.
• Sound understanding of facilities equipment, system functionality and operational interdependencies.
• Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance practices, including preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Demonstrated high level of problem solving, decision making and analytical skills;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and apply theoretical knowledge to facility infrastructure, critical systems, and specialized electrical equipment to ensure reliable performance.
• Diagnose, analyze, and rectify complex electrical faults and system malfunctions using advanced diagnostic techniques, specialized test equipment, and professional judgment.
• Provide professional technical guidance and advice in the resolution of complex system installations, breakdowns, and repairs. Mentor trade personnel.
• Lead rapid and reliable responses to abnormal facility operational situations and emergencies, prioritizing and coordinating repairs.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote best practice standards.
• Review/update technical drawings, panel schedules, and operating procedures for maintenance accuracy.
• Maintain current knowledge of facilities infrastructure and systems to improve outcomes.
• Plan, coordinate, and undertake installation of new electrical equipment ensuring compliance.
• Ensure health and safety practices and compliance at the site.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as requested.
