Job summary

South32 is seeking a Senior Project Lead Electrical on a permanent basis, delivering EIC capital and operational works on a FIFO basis from Townsville or Brisbane. Lead multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, cost-effective handovers from concept to close-out, while maintaining rigorous governance and reporting.

You will drive safe culture, manage budgets and schedules, and build strong stakeholder relationships across project lifecycles to optimise value.

• Proven oversight of large, concurrent project portfolios and complex priorities.
• Strong EIC technical knowledge with remote project delivery experience.

ABOUT CANNINGTON

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.

Flights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp—the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a permanent opportunity offering a 4/3 roster, FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane.

As the Senior Project Lead Electrical You will be responsible for leading a program of EIC capital and operational works, guiding project teams to deliver safe, cost-effective and fit-for-purpose outcomes from concept through to handover and close-out.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Extensive project leadership experience within brownfield resources environments
• Proven oversight of large, concurrent project portfolios and complex priorities
• Strong EIC technical knowledge, with remote project delivery experience
• Effective stakeholder, team and supplier leadership across project lifecycles

Qualifications for this position are:

• Engineering degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
