Job summary

ATSYS is seeking a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to provide technical leadership across a range of projects in the energy, infrastructure and mining sectors. Based in Adelaide, you will mentor engineers and lead delivery of electrical and control system solutions from concept through to commissioning.

About the Role

We are seeking Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineers to provide technical leadership across a range of projects. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work closely with clients, mentor engineers and lead the delivery of electrical and control system solutions from concept through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Technically lead the design and delivery of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EIC) projects.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to engineers and project teams.
• Manage client relationships and support project planning, estimation and execution.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, safety and project requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve technical standards, systems and processes.

About You

You are an experienced EIC engineer with a strong project delivery background and proven technical capability across industrial electrical and control systems. You are comfortable leading projects, engaging with clients and providing guidance to other engineers.

Core experience considered for this role:

• RPEQ and/or CPEng certification (or equivalent) and 7+ years of industry experience.
• Strong expertise in ELV Control Panels & Field Instrumentation, LV Switchboards & MCCs and Industrial Communications & Networks.
• Experience with industrial automation platforms such as Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric or Siemens.
• Practical experience across design, testing, commissioning and technical report writing.
• A collaborative, proactive approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable competencies are:

• Experience in MV/HV design and power systems.
• Arc Flash studies and electrical safety assessments.
• Hazardous Area classification, design and inspection.
• Machine Safety and/or Process Safety experience.
• Telemetry and remote monitoring systems.
