Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Buildings & Places team in Brisbane, leading complex electrical design across healthcare, data centres and other critical facilities. You will mentor engineers, guide multidisciplinary delivery and influence project outcomes with robust governance and quality standards.

You’ll drive technical innovation, sustain client relationships and contribute to strategic growth while working within a global, flexible, collaborative environment

Qualifications

• Significant consulting engineering experience with electrical building services.
• Expertise in sectors such as healthcare, data centres, defence or life sciences.
• Ability to lead technical delivery on major multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards, design governance, and quality management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across major building services and infrastructure projects.
• Lead development and review of complex electrical designs and technical solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert for clients, project teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of the Buildings & Places business.
• Support project pursuits and client engagement to drive growth.
