Job summary

Entura in Hobart or Melbourne is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Secondary Systems to shape the design and delivery of protection and control schemes for HV/EHV substations and power assets. You will work with clients, mentor junior engineers and contribute to hybrid work arrangements.

The role requires 7+ years in secondary systems design, knowledge of protection relay software, and familiarity with Australian/IEC standards. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in design of Secondary Systems for HV/EHV installations, especially for substations.
• Brownfield and greenfield design experience for protection, control, metering and SCADA.
• Experience on electrical utility projects and familiarity with protection relay software.
• Knowledge of Australian and IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver secondary systems for HV/EHV projects and client engagements.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance within the Grid and Power team.
• Support day-to-day project delivery and client-facing activities.
