Job summary

Entura, part of Hydro Tasmania, is seeking an Electrical Engineer–Secondary Systems to design protection and control schemes for HV/EHV installations, substations and power stations. You will work with clients across utility assets and renewable developers, applying Relay and SCADA expertise.

The role offers flexible work arrangements and travel opportunities, with Hobart or Melbourne as base locations. A minimum of 3 years in secondary systems design is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in design of Secondary Systems for HV/EHV installations.
• Experience on brownfield and greenfield protection, control, metering and SCADA.
• Familiar with protection relay configuration and fault analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Design secondary systems for HV/EHV installations and plant.
• Work on protection, metering and SCADA for substations and power stations.
• Collaborate on electrical utility projects and client engagements.
• Apply protection relay config software and fault analysis tools; travel may be required.
• Contribute to hybrid off-grid generation asset projects and power system planning.
