Job summary

The Add Staff Group has partnered with a well-established national leader to recruit an Electrical Engineer for Brisbane. The role focuses on leading mechanical and electrical engineering for projects, mentoring graduates, and providing technical support across managers, BIM modellers, and site foremen.

Qualifications

• Electrical degree or diploma; RPEQ/CPEng status desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, with internal and external personnel.
• Self-motivation and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Australian resident or hold valid working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and electrical engineering for allocated projects.
• Liaise with mechanical/electrical subcontractors and review documentation.
• Prepare and review LV distribution designs for Design and Construct projects.
• Design and review switchgear selections and ensure code compliance.
• Provide technical assistance to Project Managers, BIM Modellers and Site Foremen.
• Attend design meetings and assist with safety in design.
• Assist developing metering solutions and NABERS/Greenstar requirements.
• Mentor graduate engineers and support team development.
