Job summary

UON is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Australia. You will lead electrical engineering input across design, testing, installation and commissioning, delivering site-specific energy solutions for resources projects.

You’ll mentor engineers, review client specs, tenders and drawings, and collaborate with clients, suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive safe, reliable, and compliant outcomes in line with Australian Standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronic or equivalent.
5+ years’ post-graduate industry experience.
Strong understanding of Australian Standards, construction processes and technical compliance.
Experience across electrical design, switchboards, control panels, generators, drives, renewables, HV or control systems.
Commercial awareness, clear communication and confidence working with clients, suppliers and project teams.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering input across design, product selection, testing, installation and commissioning.
Provide technical guidance on MCCs, switchboards, control panels, generators, drives, renewables, HV and control systems.
Review client specifications, tenders, drawings, calculations and technical deliverables.
Support site work through inspections, commissioning and practical problem-solving.
Mentor engineers, chair reviews and contribute to a culture of learning, safety and continuous improvement.
Partner with clients, suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver smarter, reliable energy solutions.
