Job summary

UON is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our site team in the Pilbara. You will supervise electrical activities, coordinate HV and LV maintenance, ensure compliance with safety standards, and mentor a team of electricians to deliver quality outputs.

You will work with the superintendent to prioritise maintenance planning, resource allocation and weekly targets. Required qualifications include WA A-Class Electrical Licence, High Voltage Operators Accreditation and relevant Cert

Qualifications

• Must hold WA A-Class Electrical Licence and HV accreditation.
• Certifications in instrumentation and leadership/management are preferred.
• Scheduled 26 certification is required or highly regarded.
• Construction induction white card and valid C-class licence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Accept statutory appointment as Electrical Supervisor on a 2:1 roster and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities.
• Supervise and coordinate electrical activities to deliver productive, quality outputs.
• Oversee regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment and components for hazards and defects.
• Supervise HV and LV maintenance tasks ensuring safety and timely completion.
• Mentor and guide the team, providing hands-on assistance as required.
• Coordinate with the superintendent and process team to prioritise electrical services and planning.

UON is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Supervisor to join our site team in the Pilbara.

Key duties of this role include:

• Accept statutory appointment as an Electrical Supervisor on a2:1 rosterand ensure compliance with associated statutory responsibilities.
• Supervise and coordinate the electrical activities ensuring productive and quality work outputs.
• Supervise and coordinate regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Supervise critical HV and LV electrical maintenance tasks ensuring the work is completed safely and on time.
• Assist, guide and mentor the team as required and provide hands on assistance as required.
• Liaise closely with the superintendent and process team to prioritise electrical services.
• Assist in work planning, scheduling and resource allocation with a focus on the weekly electrical maintenance plan.
• Understand the monthly process forecast and communicate plant targets with the maintenance team.
• Ensure employees receive adequate training and instruction to perform their work.
• Discharge of obligations under Section 44 of the WA Mines Safety & Inspections Act.
• Compliance with WA Mines Safety and Inspections Act and Regulations and Duty of Care.

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Preferably a minimum 5 years' Supervisory experience.
• WA ‘A’ Class Electrical License.
• High Voltage Operators Accreditation.
• Cert IV in Instrumentation Preferred.
• Scheduled 26 certification.
• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent preferred.
• Construction induction white card.
• Current Australian ‘C’ class manual Driver's License.
• Proven financial, risk, commercial, contractual and human resource management skills.
• Strong proven qualities of leadership, integrity, loyalty and performance management.
• Proven performance on successful projects with an exemplary safety track record.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawing and fault-finding control circuits.
• Ability to mentor and lead a team of electricians.
