Job summary

Cgc Recruitment is seeking a Senior/Electrical Engineer for a building services consultancy in Sydney, NSW. The role also welcomes Principal-level engineers seeking senior technical leadership.

You will own electrical design and delivery across projects, mentor junior engineers, and engage with clients to drive project success from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Electrical Building Services Engineering
• Experience in an engineering consultancy environment
• Strong communication and client-facing skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical building services designs across a variety of projects
• Design LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and associated electrical systems
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation
• Coordinate electrical services with mechanical, hydraulic, fire and architectural disciplines
• Attend client meetings and provide technical advice throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage project deliverables, budgets and programmes
• Review designs and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
• At Principal level, take a greater role in client management, project leadership and mentoring

An established and growing building services consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior /Electrical Engineer, with the opportunity also open to Principal-level Engineers seeking a senior technical role.

This is a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, working directly with clients and playing an influential role within a collaborative engineering team.

The Opportunity

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of building services projects, taking responsibility for electrical design, coordination and delivery from concept through to completion.

Depending on your level of experience, you’ll also have the opportunity to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, manage key client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the electrical team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver electrical building services designs across a variety of projects
• Design LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and associated electrical systems
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation
• Coordinate electrical services with mechanical, hydraulic, fire and architectural disciplines

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• 3+ years’ experience in Electrical Building Services Engineering
• Experience working within an engineering consultancy environment
• Strong electrical design and documentation capability
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and the NCC
• Experience across commercial, residential, education, healthcare or other building projects
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• The ability to manage your own workload and take ownership of project delivery
