Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior or Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Power & Energy team on BESS and electrical systems across Australia. You will contribute to renewable energy projects from development through commissioning, working with a national team in a hybrid environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Chartered status preferred, at least 6 years' experience in power and BESS, and strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Chartered status with Engineers Australia is highly regarded; for Associate-level applicants, Chartered status is required.
6+ years' experience within the power industry, including significant exposure to BESS and HV systems.
Experience operating at Senior or Associate level within a consulting engineering environment.
Demonstrated leadership across renewable energy and BESS projects.
Commercial awareness with experience supporting business development activities.
Strong communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and/or support delivery of BESS and electrical engineering solutions across Australia.
Drive OE, TDD, electrical design, and advisory services for projects.
Contribute to proposals and tenders to develop compelling value propositions and win rates.
Act as Project Lead across renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects.
Support business planning, financial performance, and growth within the Renewables team.
