Job summary

ProFound People Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to act as the technical authority across mission-critical power infrastructure. You will lead complex design and troubleshooting, serve as SME escalation for major incidents, and guide field teams through both modern and legacy electrical systems.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and expert knowledge across standby generation, UPS, ATS, metering, switchboards, earthing, and surge protection.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and AS/NZS 3000.
• Expert experience across standby generation, UPS, ATS, metering, switchboards, earthing and surge protection.
• SME-level capability in root-cause analysis, troubleshooting and operational diagnostics.
• Ability to review complex electrical design submissions and coach others.
• Advanced experience in onsite commissioning.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and PowerCAD.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to rapidly absorb and disseminate complex technical information.

Key Skills

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline
• Advanced understanding of electrical regulations, statutory requirements and AS/NZS 3000.
• Expert-level experience across standby generation, UPS, ATS, metering, switchboards, earthing and surge protection.
• SME-level capability in root-cause analysis, troubleshooting and operational diagnostics.
• Ability to review complex electrical design submissions and coach others.
• Advanced experience in onsite commissioning.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and PowerCAD.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to rapidly absorb and disseminate complex technical information.

Non-essential/Beneficial Skills

• Experience acting as a Design Authority or design review lead.
• Experience overseeing contractors on engineering and safety standards.
• Exposure to bid development and technical solutioning.
