Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Buildings (Queensland) to lead electrical design across medium to large projects in the Queensland Buildings group. You will work in multidisciplinary teams, owning design delivery from concept through to construction and building strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, proven experience in building services design, and demonstrated capability handling projects in the $50M-$200M range.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering building services electrical design within a consulting, contractor or client-side environment.
• Proven capability leading or contributing to projects in the $50M-$200M range (or similar complexity).
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), or ability to imminently obtain
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Desirable Baseline clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).

What you’ll do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Queensland Buildings group, you’ll be joining a high performing, collaborative and supportive team. Using your experience in the buildings sector, you’ll contribute to a strong and growing pipeline of projects across markets including aviation, commercial, defence, data centres, precincts, sporting facilities and major event infrastructure. You’ll work as part of multidisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with clients to unpack technical problems and lead the development of electrical engineering solutions.

You will:

This is a delivery‑focussed role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on in projects while continuing to build their leadership and client capability.

What you’ll bring

• Proven capability leading or contributing to projects in the $50M-$200M range (or similar complexity)
• Experience taking ownership of design delivery, coordination and client interaction
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), or ability to imminently obtain
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
• A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and drive outcomes
• The ability to obtain Baseline clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) is highly desirable
