Job summary

Preferred Energy, a Level 3 ASP electrical design business based in Yamba on the NSW North Coast, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead design projects from concept through to certification.

You will collaborate with clients, contractors and DNSPs, apply Essential Energy standards, and drive delivery with autonomy while benefiting from flexible remote, hybrid or office-based arrangements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ Level 3 ASP or DNSP experience with electrical design.
• Thorough knowledge of Essential Energy design standards and procedures.
• Strong grounding in voltage drop, fault loop impedance, earthing and cable pulling design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Neara, Neutron Earthing and Cable Pull.
• Ability to manage technical design requirements and deliver projects to a high standard.
• High attention to detail across drawings, calculations, schedules and documentation.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Own technical design requirements from concept to certification.
• Deliver electrical design projects from concept through to certification with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and DNSPs on projects.
• Contribute to ongoing development and learning within the team.
