Job summary

Preferred Energy, a Level 3 ASP electrical design business based in Yamba on the NSW North Coast, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead design projects from concept through to certification.

You will collaborate with clients, contractors and DNSPs, apply Essential Energy standards, and drive delivery with autonomy while benefiting from flexible remote, hybrid or office-based arrangements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ Level 3 ASP or DNSP experience with electrical design.
• Thorough knowledge of Essential Energy design standards and procedures.
• Strong grounding in voltage drop, fault loop impedance, earthing and cable pulling design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Neara, Neutron Earthing and Cable Pull.
• Ability to manage technical design requirements and deliver projects to a high standard.
• High attention to detail across drawings, calculations, schedules and documentation.
• Full Australian working rights.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Level 3 ASP

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with Level 3 ASP experience to join our growing team.

Preferred Energy is a Level 3 ASP electrical design business based in beautiful Yamba on the NSW North Coast, ideally positioned between Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay.

We work across a diverse range of electrical design projects, including renewable energy, industrial, commercial and residential developments.

About the Role

This is a senior position for someone who can step straight into project work and take ownership of technical design requirements with confidence.

You’ll be involved in delivering electrical design projects from initial concept through to certification, working with clients, contractors, DNSPs and other project stakeholders along the way.

We value learning and professional development, but for this role we’re specifically looking for someone who already has the technical experience to hit the ground running and contribute to our growing workload.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
