Job summary

SAGE Automation in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead end-to-end electrical design delivery across transport, energy and manufacturing projects. You will liaise with clients, prepare electrical designs and drive quality, budget and schedule outcomes.

You will mentor a small design team and collaborate with a national group of engineers, drafters and project managers. The role offers flexible working and exposure to diverse industry sectors offered by the SAGE Group.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree with 5+ years in transport, energy, utilities or manufacturing.
• Eligible for state-based electrical engineering registration.
• Solid knowledge of systems engineering principles and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Verifiable design experience including PLC I/O systems and hazardous area.
• Calculating cable sizing, maximum demand and discrimination.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Must have unrestricted Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Liaise directly with clients to develop and refine scopes of work.
• Prepare and produce electrical designs to meet project requirements, specs, budgets and timeframes.
• Support the Regional Engineering Manager to drive team performance and targets.
• Mentor and support a small team delivering complex engineering solutions.
