We seek a Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Team Lead) in Adelaide to lead a small team delivering complex electrical designs for diverse projects.

You will mentor staff, define design standards, collaborate with manufacturing, and liaise with clients to refine scopes, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship is essential.
• Proven experience managing and leading a small to medium electrical design team.
• Electrical Engineering degree with Principal level experience.
• Eligible for state-based engineering registration in Electrical Engineering.
• Verifiable knowledge of design engineering principles and practices.
• Verifiable design management and leadership experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with key stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small-to-medium electrical design team to deliver complex engineering solutions within requirements, schedule and budget.
• Develop and implement design and drafting processes, standards and templates.
• Mentor and lead your team, including extended teams to achieve schedule, quality and budget targets.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure design constructability and effectiveness.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to refine scopes of work as needed.
• Report to Regional Engineering Manager on design production to meet project requirements, budgets and timeframes.
